Recycle at home in JVT starting 2 May

Nakheel has recently announced enhancements to the Waste Management program at Jumeirah Village Triangle.

In line with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative, to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, Nakheel is implementing a two-bin waste segregation system in the community from Monday, 2 May. 

The new system aims to enhance the waste management process by encouraging segregation of recyclables from general waste, and introducing door-to-door green waste and bulky waste collection. See the image below explaining the new process:

We got some fantastic news from Nakheel recently. We know where we are heading this weekend. See you there !

Nakheel recently announced that the new and upgraded Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse is now open, bringing an exciting new range of dining, leisure and fitness facilities to the community.

Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse is managed by Sunset Hospitality Group, a hospitality and management company known for bringing unique concepts and experiences to the region.  The new attraction has opened following extensive refurbishment to create the ideal place to eat, relax, socialise and work out.

Isola Ristorante, serving modern Italian classics with inspiration from Sardinia, Capri and Sicily, is open daily from 8 am to 11 pm, while Joe’s Backyard, featuring comfort food in a casual, sports lounge setting is open from 4 pm to 1 am on weekdays, and from 12 noon to 1 am at weekends.

Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse is also home to:

·      RAISE Dubai, a members’ fitness and wellness centre,

·      The Pool, a Riviera-inspired pool venue

·      Chloe’s beauty, hair and nails salon for female beauty services

Revised JVT tennis court rules

Nakheel has revised the Jumeirah Village Triangle tennis court schedule to provide more court access and greater flexibility for players who live at the community.  

Tennis court 4 will be for the exclusive use of residents, with no bookings for coaching. In addition, only one court will be used for coaching at weekends.

Revised booking schedule for residents having coaching through SuperSports (from 1 April):  

Court 1:       Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 

Court 2:       Monday, Tuesday,

Court 3:       Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

Court 4:       No coaching – available daily exclusively for residents

Court 5:       Sunday, Monday, Thursday   

When no coaching is booked for the above timetable,  residents can reserve courts through the booking system.  If you find coaching taking place outside this schedule, please inform security.  Only SuperSports-appointed coaches are permitted to give lessons at the community.  

We have also received comments about courts being booked and then left empty.  Therefore, effective 1 April, we are introducing a system whereby a booking will be void if players are more than 15 minutes late for their allocated time slot.  For example, if a court is booked for 7 pm and is still empty at 7.15 pm, it is available for others to use on a first come first served basis until the next confirmed reservation time.  There is also a facility within the booking system for residents to cancel a reservation if they are unable to keep their appointment.  

The JVT sports courts are for use exclusively by residents of the community. Proof of residency is required to register for the booking system, which can be accessed here.

Road closures near JVT on Friday 26th March

Great news! The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge is passing by our area on Friday 26th March. Come out and support the cyclists! Check out the map above.

This is the 11th year of the cycle challenge, and with the support of the RTA, Police, Dubai Sports Council, cyclists will be making their way around the 94.7km course on the roads of Dubai.
