Recycle at home in JVT starting 2 May

Nakheel has recently announced enhancements to the Waste Management program at Jumeirah Village Triangle.

In line with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative, to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, Nakheel is implementing a two-bin waste segregation system in the community from Monday, 2 May. 

The new system aims to enhance the waste management process by encouraging segregation of recyclables from general waste, and introducing door-to-door green waste and bulky waste collection. See the image below explaining the new process:

Improved access roads to service Al Khail Mall

Nakheel has recently announced the appointment of Wade Adams Contracting to  build access routes into the new shopping mall located inside JVT community. The master developer is investing AED114 million in roads and bridges giving direct access to Al Khail Avenue which will boast retail, dining and entertainment facilities.

Under the contract, signed last month, work begins immediately and is due for completion next year.

The links will take motorists directly from Al Khail Road into Al Khail Avenue’s 4000-space multi-storey car park, providing seamless entry to and exit from the mall, which is under construction on the edge of Jumeirah Village Triangle, JVT. There will also be access points from JVT itself.

Operated by Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of Nakheel, Al Khail Avenue is set to open in 2020 and will have 350 shops, restaurants, entertainment outlets, and services, and be connected to a 267-room hotel, operated under the DoubleTree by Hilton.

Terhab Hotel and Towers to give JVT a Grand Mercure and Adagio serviced apartments

JVT will have a new hotel managed by Accor Group. Terhab Hotel and Towers is set to open in 2019 and aims to attract both families and corporate travelers, offering guests a unique water themed play area, a vast retail space, and multiple F&B outlets in addition to extensive meetings facilities, health clubs, spas and infinity swimming pools.

“Manazil Global Property Development presents a new and innovative concept in real estate investment through Hotel Room Investment. Now the investor is able to buy a hotel Room on a 100% freehold bases for investment purposes and with added benefit to stay in the accommodation for up-to 30 days for free every year during the holidays. The remaining of the unused periods in the hotel rental pool will be deposited for renting. The prices starting from AED 603,000 with guaranteed rewarding financial return of 30% over the first 5 years,” says Engineer Abdul Mohsen Al Hammadi.

In addition, the investor will not pay any maintenance or other fees related to water & electricity, cooling and cleaning, where all those costs are paid through a rental pool according to «Terhab» hotel management program for hotel assets.

And to improve efficiency and increase financial returns, operational and safeguard the rights of investors Terhab will supervise the performance of the hotel Management Company, financial planning, administrative and legal operations for these hotel assets for an effortless Investment for the clients.

Al Hammadi added: “We have carefully selected the most successful Hotel Operator worldwide. Confident that with AccorHotels global network including more than 4,000 hotels in 94 country and recognized management experience Adagio will reward investors with the highest return on investment.”

Property Summary:

The Grand Mercure Hotel
a (5 stars ) with 164 hotel rooms and suites in addition to luxurious SPA; at five-star standard.

The Mercure Hotel
a (4 stars) with 330 hotel rooms and suites.

 

The Adagio Hotel Apartment
compromise 285 apartments consisting of Studios, one bedroom and two bedrooms apartments.

Terhab Residences
includes 396 apartments consisting of Studios, one bedroom, two bedrooms and three bedrooms apartments and duplexes.

Arcadia secondary school in the news

We are excited to see a rendering of the new Arcadia secondary school by architects Godwin Austen Johnson (GAJ) in the local press.

Well known in Dubai as specialists in school design, we can be assured that GAJ will deliver a new secondary school for Arcadia that is top class.

Designing with sustainability in mind, the architects also have plans to ensure this new school is anchored within the community by providing easy access for those who walk to school and by ensuring sensible solutions for vehicle traffic.
