Improved access roads to service Al Khail Mall

Nakheel has recently announced the appointment of Wade Adams Contracting to  build access routes into the new shopping mall located inside JVT community. The master developer is investing AED114 million in roads and bridges giving direct access to Al Khail Avenue which will boast retail, dining and entertainment facilities.

Road into Al Khail Mall

Under the contract, signed last month, work begins immediately and is due for completion next year.

The links will take motorists directly from Al Khail Road into Al Khail Avenue’s 4000-space multi-storey car park, providing seamless entry to and exit from the mall, which is under construction on the edge of Jumeirah Village Triangle, JVT. There will also be access points from JVT itself.

Operated by Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of Nakheel, Al Khail Avenue is set to open in 2020 and will have 350 shops, restaurants, entertainment outlets, and services, and be connected to a 267-room hotel, operated under the DoubleTree by Hilton.

Fresh Food at F-mart – now open in JVT

Hello villagers!

We are delighted to announce that a new grocery shop has opened its doors in JVT. Today was the grand opening of F-Mart.

Great coffee, just baked baguette, a fantastic fishmonger, fresh produce and just about anything you might need can all be found now in District 2! Check them out and tell John that the JVT website sent you!

New shops and services in JVT

One thing I love about Dubai is that there is always something new. Leave for a few weeks business trip or a few months holiday over the summer and you come back to discover new roads, new restaurants or new shops.

Last month saw several new openings in JVT I am happy to report.

We now have something for the guys with a gents salon, just next door to my favorite eatery Noa’s Délice

We also have not one, but two laundry services on opposite sides of The Imperial Residence. Let us know your favorite!

Don’t forget about all the other great services available right here in JVT for hair, nails or a nice lunchtime meal!

For a listing of all the JVT shops, bookmark this page!

Let us know if you hear about any new shops coming to the village.

Update on the Al Khail Avenue mall

Nakheel has issued the following announcement today as a progress update on the new shopping destination in JVT. It looks like we can expect some convenient shopping and entertainment options right on our doorstep!

Dear valued resident,

We are delighted to announce the completion of enabling work for the new, AED2 billion Al Khail Avenue mall, with proposals for the construction of the mall itself currently being assessed.

As you may have seen, the completed earthworks have left a giant hole at the Al Khail Avenue site, on the edge of the Jumeirah Village Triangle community. This hole, shown above, is 600,000 cubic metres in volume and big enough to accommodate 240 Olympic-sized swimming pools or 12 Airbus A380 aircraft.

Al Khail Avenue will have 350 shops, a multi-screen cinema, a wide range of cafes and restaurants and a multi-storey car park with 4,400 spaces.  More than 60 per cent of the shop space has been booked, with tenants including Waitrose, Reel Cinemas, Home Centre, Emax, Centrepoint, Sports One, Gap, Mamas & Papas, Armani Exchange, Banana Republic and more.

Al Khail Avenue will provide convenient shopping and entertainment for people in Jumeirah Village, Jumeirah Park and other nearby communities, and be a new destination for residents and tourists across Dubai and other emirates.
