The Team at the JVT Community website is happy to share Nakheel’s recent communication about Earth Hour today (see below).
We hope to see a dark JVT with all the residents pitching in for the planet tonight !
Dear valued resident,
Nakheel will proudly participate in Earth Hour this coming Saturday by turning off non-essential lights at its premises, and by urging employees to switch off lights and electrical appliances at their homes at 8.30pm for one hour. We also encourage the 270,000 residents at our communities across Dubai to take part in Earth Hour, and to use the initiative as an opportunity to think about a long-term change in energy consumption habits. Simple but effective lifestyle changes – such as using LED lightbulbs and reusable lunch boxes, shopping bags and water bottles – can help reduce the impact of climate change, and potentially cut household bills. The theme of this year’s Earth Hour is ‘Connect 2 Earth’ which highlights the importance of biodiversity and how our actions impact the land, oceans and diverse species of plant and animal life here in the UAE. For further information on this worthy cause, visit http://www.earthhour.ae/ We look forward to your participation in Earth Hour, 8.30pm to 9.30pm, Saturday 24 March. Best regards, Nakheel |
